I ordered the gumbo and strawberry cheesecake. I believe it was the owner who brought me my food and checked and made sure everything was great. And it was really delicious. The gumbo tasted great and I took the strawberry cheesecake to go and had it at the hotel and that was great as well. Definitely recommended this place for some good food and pastries. Don’t be shocked at the price because you get what you pay for. I’ll be back again on my next trip here. Thanks B Sweet!
This place was the bomb. I got recommended this place by my friend in Jersey and this place did not disappoint. The owner was really nice and the atmosphere was perfect. Everything we orders was fresh and came with large portions. We ordered the shrimp po boy and red beans and rice. Both dishes were really good. If you are in New Orleans check this place. I really wish we had something like this back in jersey.
B Sweet Bistro & Bakery is WAY more than their desserts. Even better than the sweets is the FOOD. Some of the best gumbo and sweet & spicy wings I’ve ever had! New on their menu is the seafood beignets, it is the perfect combination of sweet and savory and I highly recommend!
Loved B Sweet Bistro and Bakery so much that we visited twice during our trip to New Orleans. It’s located right across the street from Armstrong Park. We ordered catfish and grits, Cajun Shrimp and Grits, the redfish with the crawfish sauce. Everything was wonderful and the owner was very kind and walked out to make sure everything was good, which is much appreciated. I highly recommend B Sweet!
I went to BSweets during Mardi Gras weekend (to know New Orleans is to know ain’t nobody working this weekend so many places are short staffed) with my cousins from a rec from another content creator from N.O. To our surprise “B” Brittany the owner was actually there waiting tables herself b/c she was low on staff that weekend. I was thinking oh lawd this is about to be poor service. She was so sweet and personable and felt like a sister or cousin. We tried a bunch of things and everything was so good. The presentation is really nice. Word on the street is she is the best gumbo in the city for a restaurant and I’d definitely say she’s up there with your MawMaw who makes the best gumbo in your family. My favorite was the seafood crab beignets. I can’t even begin to describe the taste besides AMAZING!!! I also loved the catfish dish and the red fish pasta. She has sweets as well. I ordered the Biscoff king cake & sweet potato pie to go cus by the time I got to dessert I was literally busting outta my clothes. No seriously; my zipper on my jumpsuit broke for real!! lol I was too shamed but full! I’ll be back to try the banana foster beignets next time! Definitely a must stop when in the city!! B’s Sweets Bistro don’t owe me a thang but a new jumpsuit!!! lol
This spot is a gem. Coming from Florida where the fish is plentiful I had catfish. 10/10 do recommend. And the seafood stuffed beignets my lord downright scrumptious and full of flavor. If you ever grace New Orleans make sure you stop by. It’s not too crowded. A nice lil vibe. The owner is super friendly and exudes boss like energy! Was prompt with the food and came to make sure everything was to our liking. She came around and spoke to us and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I will be returning on my trip to Nola. I had excellent food and such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was wonderful and the owner in her staff gave excellence service. The gumbo is a 15 out of 10. I’m in New Orleans native and never had gumbo that good. The seafood pasta with the black catfish was chef kiss. I highly recommend this restaurant to natives and visitors. I also think her gumbo should be in grocery stores.
While in New Orleans( From Florida) we stopped by B Sweets and when I tell you EVERYTHING was good. I had the catfish Mardi Gras and the gumbo. The gumbo was so good the best thing I’ve ever had seasoned to perfection with a little heat I could drink it lol. My friends had red fish and grits, gumbo, and crawfish beignets those BEIGNETS were a 20 out of 10. The owner was the sweetest she came out and spoke to us but she is a hard working woman from cooking the food, waiting tables, cleaning up, and being a host Ms. Brittney deserves her flowers. This will definitely be my go to place anytime I’m in New Orleans.
